118 – Undress Yourself

The apostle Paul says in Ephesians 4, that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts. The image of undressing and redressing serves as the frame for Paul’s teaching on putting off the old man and putting on the new man.

Paul is saying that the Christian life is a lifelong process of taking off the soiled, tattered garments of our flesh and being dressed with a new set of clothes that will transform us into people reflecting God’s righteousness.
